What Chattree stores, why, and who else sees it.

What we store
Chattree is added to WhatsApp groups you already run. To do that it keeps:
- Your WhatsApp number. It identifies your account. Chattree does not ask for an email address and does not use one to sign you in.
- Your groups. The group's name, its WhatsApp identifier, and the settings you choose — assistant name, welcome message, whether it is active.
- What you train it on. Documents and web pages you send it, so it can answer from them. Each group's knowledge is kept separate and is never used to answer in another group.
- Messages it answers. Questions directed at Chattree and the replies it gives, so it can hold a conversation and so you can see what it has been doing.
- Counts. How many replies and welcomes it has sent, to apply your plan's allowance.
What we do not do
- Chattree does not read or store messages that are not addressed to it, beyond what WhatsApp delivers to it as a group member.
- It does not message your members unprompted, except to welcome someone who has just joined.
- It is not a marketing or broadcast tool, and there is no way to make it one.
- We do not sell your data or your members' data.
Who else is involved
- WhatsApp carries the messages. Their terms and privacy policy apply to that carriage.
- An AI provider generates answers. The question and the relevant part of your trained material are sent to produce a reply.
- Polar handles payment if you subscribe. Card details go to them and never reach us.
Your choices
- Pause Chattree in any group, at any time, from your dashboard.
- Remove a trained document or website, and it stops being used.
- Remove Chattree from a group, and it stops seeing that group entirely.
- Ask us to delete your account and what it holds.
