Running a group is a second job

The welcoming. The same twenty questions. The announcement nobody reads the first time. The date everybody forgets. The weekly catch-up you never get round to writing. Chattree does those.

1

Send Chattree your group's invite link

In a direct message. Chattree joins groups it is invited to and nothing else, which is what keeps it off groups it has no business being in.

2

Tell it what the group needs to know

Send a website, a document, or just type the facts. Each group keeps its own knowledge — nothing leaks between groups.

3

It welcomes every new member

New members get the orientation you would have typed, the moment they join.

4

It answers what the group keeps asking

Members tag Chattree and it answers from what you gave it. When it does not know, it says so instead of guessing — and tells you afterwards, so you can teach it once.

5

It says what you tell it to say

Write an announcement in a direct message, read it back, and Chattree posts it. Your words, not its own — and never more than three a week, outside quiet hours, so nobody mutes the group.

6

It remembers the dates and writes up the week

Tell it once when something is happening and it mentions it as the day gets closer. Every week it sends you a short account of what the group got into, to approve or ignore.

7

You get tapped when it matters

Anything it cannot answer safely comes to you in a direct message, with the context.

Pricing

One price per group, so your bill is simply the number of groups you run. Every account gets both plans free for 7 days, with no card.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about adding Chattree to a group you already run.

What is Chattree?

Chattree is an AI community manager for WhatsApp groups. It welcomes new members, answers the questions your group asks over and over, posts the announcements you write, keeps track of the dates that matter, and brings you in when something needs a human.

Do my members need to install anything?

No. Chattree joins your existing WhatsApp group as a member. There is no new app and no new platform for anyone.

Where does it get its answers?

From what you give it — a website, a document, or facts you type. Each group has its own knowledge and never sees another group's information.

What happens when it does not know?

It says so rather than guessing, and brings the question to you in a direct message with the context.

Do I need to give it admin rights?

Not to answer questions or welcome members. Moderation is staged, and you only grant admin rights when you are ready.

Can I pause it?

Yes, in any group, at any time. Paused means Chattree stays in the group and says nothing.

Can it post announcements, or does it only reply?

Both. You write an announcement in a direct message and read it back before it goes; Chattree posts your words unchanged. It is capped at three a week per group and never posts during quiet hours, because the fastest way to get a group to mute you is to talk too much.

Does it tell me what happened while I was away?

Once a week it sends you a short account of what the group got into, and the questions nobody answered. You approve it or ignore it — nothing goes to the group unless you say so.

Can it collect contributions for a wedding or a burial?

It runs the list, not the money. Chattree posts your own account details in the group once — with the account name checked against your bank first, so a mistyped digit is caught before anybody sends anything — then keeps track of who has paid. Members tell it when they have sent theirs and you confirm against your bank. The money goes straight to your own account: Chattree never touches it and cannot see it, so it never claims a payment arrived. Only you can.

Can it reply with a voice note?

Yes. Send it a voice note and it answers with one, in a voice you pick. It only speaks when somebody speaks to it, and a spoken answer uses three of your replies rather than one, because it is transcribed, answered and then spoken. You can switch it off per group and still have voice notes answered in text.

Your group runs itself.
You just have to stop typing.

Add Chattree, tell it what your group needs to know, and get your evenings back.
