When Chattree joins a group it reads the group’s name and description and starts it with the template that fits. To start from a different one, open the group on the dashboard and press Templates at the bottom right of its editor. Your previous workflow stays in History. Every part of a template can be changed; see Workflows.

What every template does

  • When Chattree joins the group: prepare its introduction, then ask you first (reply yes or no within 24 hours), then post it.
  • When someone tags Chattree or replies to it: answer from what it was taught.
  • When a member’s question about the group has gone unanswered for 30 minutes: answer it, quoting them, only if what it was taught answers it.
  • When a member seems to need you (complaint, money, safety, conflict): tell you privately — and say nothing in the group.
  • As a date you added comes up (a month, two weeks, a week, three days and a day before): remind the group.
  • When a member says they have paid: thank them and note it for you, then tell you, so you can check.
  • Every 24 hours, if members asked things it could not answer: send you the questions, to answer once.
Every template also has Weekly report to me, off until you switch it on.
